November 16, 2005 (SEATTLE) — WizKids Inc., creator of the runaway hit games HeroClix® and Pirates of the Spanish Main™, is proud to announce the release of Marvel® HeroClix: Armor Wars, the newest expansion in the HeroClix game line.
“Armor Wars will forever stand as a benchmark in the HeroClix world,” said Mike Samora, vice president of Sales and Marketing at WizKids®. “It kicked off many successful programs, including New-Guy Night and the ‘Buy It By the Brick’ program, which have sent many customers to their local brick-and-mortar retail stores.” The set also introduced stronger and more cohesive themes to HeroClix releases, in this instance Iron Man™ and his allies and opponents.

The Buy It By the Brick program is one of several steps designed to help brick-and-mortar stores compete with online discounters. Customers who purchase 12 shrink-wrapped Armor Wars Boosters can send in the included form to WizKids in order to receive a rare and free collector’s edition Iron Man figure (shipping and handling required).
